Welcome to my world...

I want to answer some basic questions first:

1. Why am I blogging?

I have the time to blog. I am of the nature to share just about anything with just about anyone. I am searching for meaning in the post-estrogen, post-career, post-singlechin universe.

2. Who am I?

I could be your sister, your mother, the lady next door, your wife (yeah - maybe she is thinking some of the things I'm thinking,) or, of course, your best friend/worst enemy.  I'm an eater, a cook, a shopper, a dater, a traveler, a moviegoer, a person of interest who is interested in just about everything. And though I am no expert, I am told I am good at an awful lot of things!

3. Why read my blog?

Read my blog to save yourself from making so many mistakes - you'd be amazed at how many I make that you could avoid.  Read it to laugh out loud.  Read it to find something simple and yummy for dinner, a good sale, a sad story, and best of all - read it cause you know it it is the truth and the truth will set you free. Well, maybe it won't set you free but it might set you on the path to freedom; you never know.

And, OK - this isn't witty or earthshaking but I want to share something on my first post so:

1.  Alessi Tuscan White Bean Soup mix in an envelope is an excellent product. It takes water and 12 minutes to cook.  You can add anything in your fridge to it - leftover or fresh.  Today I added some celery and some potato and a little bit of curry powder cause that's all I had to add.  I am trying to eat down my cupboards because I am leaving this apartment forever in one month.  (Follow me for those intriguing  adventures.)  While speaking about Alessi products - their fig infused vinegar will change your life!!!!!!!

2. I saw three movies recently and they were ALL GOOD!!!!!

Descendants

J Edgar

My Week with Marilyn

3. Get your flu shot - I accidentally hesitated and lost BIG TIME - very sick for 10 days.

4. And last but not least:
In the ongoing saga of co-op from hell - Today I learned that they want to charge me $200 for moving two twin bed mattresses out through the basement.  I'll explain more in my next blog!!!! (Which will include a post about the relationship between waiting for my twenty-something daughter and a play we all read in college - wait, wait - was that "No Exit" or "Waiting for Godot?"  You get to decide.
